Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a report from a statewide conference on the future of Maine's natural resource-based industries, which includes 75 recommendations as well as acknowledgement of areas of progress. Among the problems are the rise in working-waterfront property values and the decline in net farm income. The report will be an annual effort to help both the governor and the Legislature to establish state policies.
