Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece on Kevin Waters, co-founder of Penobscot Island Air with several former co-workers from Maine Atlantic Aviation. Penobscot Island Air began offering its first flights just days after Maine Atlantic Aviation discontinued its service to the Penobscot Bay islands. Waters, 45, is optimistic about the viability of his new company, noting several advantages over its predecessor. The company has five freight contracts that account for almost half of its revenues.
