Abstract

Downeast Express, the new airline created by Dick Goodrich and his Downeast Flying Service, has scaled back to two round tips from Wiscasset to Bradley International Airport. Downeast has been unable to maintain scheduled service within Maine or create routes to the Canadian Maritime provinces. Rate wars and the lack of a small-plane travel market have hindered growth.
