Abstract
The federal minimum wage increase, and Governor King's veto which allowed the minimum wage for tipped workers to rise as well, have not affected the Maine economy or validated conservative predictions of unemployment and inflation. Seven thousand of Maine's 340,000 wage earners make only minimum wage.
