Abstract

"Compass Points" piece reporting that Maine-based MBNA's bleak financial forecast of April was followed just months later by the credit card company's sale at a premium price to Bank of America. MBNA's top managers held on to their stock and watched it rise, while many shareholders sold stock when they heard the bad news concerning quarterly earnings and the dim outlook for 2005 earnings.
