Abstract

"Business Maine" piece on Bangor-based MediaWORKSEnterprise, a youth development program partly funded by the U. S. Department of Labor and designed for low-income 17- to 24-year-olds who have either graduated or dropped out of school. Currently 12 interns are being paid for their time as they learn and practice the trade of graphic design. Fifty-four interns have passed through the program, which is managed by head designer Jorge Gonzalez.
