Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Henry Carlton, 49, of Windham, who through his company, Word-Tone-Picture, hopes to educate children about pet and animal care through comic books, DVDs, and other media starring Dr. Woof and Nurse Meow. As an owner of a veterinary clinic in Germany, Carlton witnessed pet abuse. He knew the U.S. was the best place to start his envisioned business and he sold his assets to launch it. He hopes his non-profit organization, Noah's Ark, will help create a pet-education center in every state.
