Abstract
"Focus on Greater Bangor" piece on how Bangor will see modest gains in military facilities and employment, partly due to the Pentagon's Base Realignment and Closure process, which closed Brunswick Naval Air Station. Two Bangor-based units will benefit, with the Maine Air National Guard's 101st Air Refueling Wing receiving 10 new tanker planes, and the Maine Army National Guard securing millions of dollars worth of improvement and building funds. An Aviation Support Facility is scheduled for completion this fall and construction of a new Regional Training Institute is scheduled to begin in fiscal year 2008. With details on the developments.
