Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on Maine's No. 2 rank in New England and No. 8 ranking nationally in closing the gender pay gap. One area of progress has been in encouraging women in Maine to seek jobs in non-traditional occupations like construction. Still, women make only 74 percent of what men in the same job earn in Maine.
