Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on Rep. Jeremy Fischer, D-Presque Isle, who is introducing legislation stemming from the 2005 workplace murder of Erin Sperrey in Caribou. His bill would mandate that businesses employing more than 15 workers conduct annual safety training programs, a mandate some say would increase the cost of doing business in Maine.
