Abstract
"Focus: Augusta-Waterville Region" commentary piece with opposing viewpoints on the City of Augusta's controversial plan to sell a portion of the current Cony High School property to developers planning a new Hannaford supermarket. William Bridgeo, Augusta city manager, argues in favor of the sale, claiming it will bring good growth for the city. William Johnson, president of the East Side Neighborhood Network, counters that the sale of a special property shouldn't be treated as a regular business transaction.
