Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on President Bush's proposed reductions in the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which would cut Maine's funding to about $10 million a year, from nearly $17 million in 2002. The state's largest cities receive CDBG funds directly from federal sources. Under the new budget thay would see a 25 percent reduction next year.
