Abstract

"Focus: Technology" piece on the increasing popularity of video conferencing. Mike Haskell, IT director at Scarborough-based Stormwater360, said the company conducts monthly meetings via video conferencing, linking their Maine headquarters with its offices in Oregon and Maryland. Allen Cornwall, senior account manager at Portland-based business technology provider Systems Engineering, says the availability of broadband Internet connections will make video conferencing technology more prevalent. Keith Gosselin, IT officer at Biddeford Savings Bank, discusses why the bank is considering investing in video-conferencing equipment when it builds its fourth branch in Scarborough this year.
