    Abstract

    "Business Maine: Central & Western" piece reporting that Kingfield residents recently rejected a moratorium on industrial projects that would have blocked development plans by the Poland Spring Bottling Co. Poland Spring has proposed to build a $100 million bottling plant in town. Some residents welcome the 100 jobs the plant would bring, but others view the project as a threat to the town's peace and beauty. Voters turned out in record numbers.
