    Abstract

    "Business Maine: Southern" piece reporting that Portland-based aquatic biotechnology firm MariCal recently announced it has received $3.1 million in venture capital from U.S. and foreign investors. The company, which employs 13 in Portland, expects to use the funds to nearly double its global workforce of 22 employees to 40 by 2009.
