Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Peter Golbitz, founder of Bar Harbor-based Soyatech, and an expert in the oilseed and soy food industries. Soyatech publishes the "Soya & Oilseed Bluebook," the industry standard for information on the soy food and biofuels business. On September 18 Golbitz will preside over the first industry conference, "Soya Summit 2006: Food and Energy for the 21st Century," held in St. Louis, Mo. Golbitz sold Soyatech earlier this year to Boston-based HighQuest Partners for an undisclosed amount. Golbitz sees the soy industry as a solution to global food shortages, and hopes to apply his research skills to parallel industries, such as renewable energy resources.
