Abstract
The success of the Stein Gallery in Portland, and of the Dale Chihuly glass exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art, are evidence that glass sculpture is gaining respect as fine art. The Stein Gallery, in business since 1972, sells art glass to individuals, like glass collector Chet Jordan, and offices around the country, although there are no corporate glass collections in Maine.
