Abstract
"Focus: Lewiston-Auburn" piece on Lewiston-based Elmet Technologies, which manufactures specialized tungsten and molybdenum components for the semiconductor and medical industries. Jack Jensen, CEO, purchased the company from his employer, Philips Electronics North America Corp., in 2003. Expanding far beyond Philips' focus of light bulb filaments, Jensen has increased the company's revenues 30 percent, to nearly $60 million a year. This fall, Elmet announced that Boston-based Harbor Acquisition Corp. would acquire Elmet to allow the company to continue its growth.
