Abstract

"From the Ground Up" piece with a preview of the real estate and construction market in 2007. The article touches on a project at the former Jordan's Meats in Portland, new hotel projects statewide, the Cabela's project in Scarborough, the L.L. Bean expansion in Freeport, conversion of sulfur tankers into supply ships, the new Poland Spring plant in Kingfield, the Mars Hill wind power farm, and a campaign by transportation contractors for finance reform, spearheaded by the Maine Better Transportation Association.
