Abstract

"Focus on Greater Portland" piece with an interview with BlueCurrent owner, Franz Honer, 23, who discusses the benefits of blogging about Maine's real estate market. The Scarborough-based company, co-owned by Sabine McElrath, hosts an online journal, BlueCurrent Real Estate Blog, which Honer sees as a good way to keep in touch with customers and to speak candidly about the real estate industry. He says about 30 to 40 people a day read the blog. He talks of the affordability problem in the Greater Portland market and says his philosophy differs from that of agents who want to control the information given out to buyers.
