Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Chris Hall, 50, of Buxton, a longtime lobbyist for the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and new senior vice president of governmental relations for the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce. As the first full-time lobbyist for a regional chamber in Maine, Hall's performance is likely to be closely watched by other organizations, and he expects more groups to follow suit. One of his goals is boosting Maines research and development spending.
