    Abstract

    "Business Maine" piece with funereal news items from around the state. In Saco, Stacy Cote of Cote Funeral Home is one of 19 finalists for 12 spots in next year's "Men of Mortuaries" calendar. Cote, 38, said he wants to show that funeral directors are people too, and have interests outside of the funeral home. In other news, Albion resident Matthew Dow, who has operated Dow's Wood Products for a decade, hopes to grow into the niche market for mini-coffins and urns for pets. And in early April, York County Community College in Wells announced it will launch the state's only accredited degree in Funeral Service.
