Abstract

"From the Ground Up" piece on the Fast Aid program at Associated Constructors of Maine (ACM). Designed in the late 1980s by Al Bancroft, Fast Aid was developed to facilitate the rapid deployment of construction equipment to affected areas during state emergencies. The Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) used First Aid during the Patriots' Day nor'easter earlier this year, using more than 859 road barricades delivered by ACM.
