Abstract
Monson-based Moosehead Furniture reopened in mid-October after an eight-month shutdown. The company's new owners are Dana Connors, president of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, and Josh Tardy, a Newport attorney and Republican leader in the Maine House of Representatives. Connors and Tardy are optimistic that the mill can be profitable almost immediately, though they have sharply downsized. Connors said the company will focus on the best-selling items only.
