Abstract

"Focus on Midcoast Region" piece on Wayfarer Marine's plans for waterfront condos in Camden, which residents voted down. Roger Moody and 13 residents created the nonprofit Camden Area Futures in 2006 to study ways to foster sustainable development in town, and later he tried to facilitate Wayfarer's proposal as part of the group's mission. Wayfarer hoped the condos would help save its boat business, the town's largest maritime employer. With details on the company, which might have to move to another community in order to expand and continue operations.
