Abstract

"Business Maine: Statewide" piece reporting that profits were up last year for some Maine tourism businesses, but so were operating expenses. According to a survey released by the Maine Tourism Association, a strong Canadian dollar helped some businesses, but high gas prices and overall lower consumer spending harmed sales for others.
