Abstract

Mainebiz asked readers to share their thoughts on Maine's economy and how their businesses are faring. With the results from 529 respondents and highlights from the updated Maine Consensus Economic Forecasting Commission report, including a comparison of the Jan. 2008 and the Nov. 2008 forecasts. Economist Charles Colgan, chair of the commission, explains what caused the current economic crisis and what it means for Maine.
