Abstract
"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Linda Bean of Port Clyde, granddaughter of Leon Leonwood Bean and founder of Linda Bean's Perfect Maine, an offshoot of the Port Clyde Lobster Co. she started last year. Besides selling live lobster and frozen lobster stew, she has started a chain of take-out restaurants, which she hopes to franchise, called Linda Bean's Perfect Maine Lobster Roll. She wants to capitalize on the strength of the Maine brand and with lobster prices at a record low, eliminate Canadian processors as the middle men.
