Abstract

"Focus on Tourism & Hospitality" piece detailing improvements being made by a number of campground owners at a time when both gas prices and the economy are down, and camping is being viewed as an affordable vacation option. Owners say advance reservations are healthy. There are 275 licensed campgrounds in Maine, including state parks, which are stretching their dollars in a tight budget year.
