Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Rob Evans, chef and co-owner with his wife Nancy Pugh of Hugo's restaurant in Portland. On his third nomination, Evans recently won the James Beard Foundation award for best chef in the Northeast. He and Pugh took over the former Hugo's Portland Bistro in 2000, "with zero money in the bank." With details on his career as a chef and on the restaurant he calls a "mom and pop operation."
