Abstract

A bill working its way through the Legislature would introduce an asset- rather than need-based model to economic development, building on Maine's quality of place. The bill would also standardize how regions define and enhance their quality of place. Dick Barringer, chair of Maine's Quality of Place Council, is pleased with the bill, which has undergone amendments.
