Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Bill McQuaid, who engineered a $1 million information system for Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick that will pay for itself in five years. Parkview is one of 92 hospitals and the only Maine hospital that is highly-ranked by Chicago-based Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Analytics for electronic medical records adoption. McQuaid, 37, was also named one of five finalists for Chief Security Officer of the Year by SC Magazine, and ComputerWorld magazine listed him as one of the country's 100 premier IT leaders.
