Abstract

"Focus on Transportation & Trade" piece on increases in export sales experienced by several Maine biotechnology firms. Maine's biotech exports were up 20 percent in 2009 over 2008, and the strong demand is remaining steady. Among the companies mentioned are Trillium Diagnostics in Bangor, Idexx Laboratories in Westbrook, Bioprocessing Inc. in Portland, and Maine Biotechnology Services in Portland. Included are statistics on the export value of select Maine biotech commodities.
