Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on Maine's exports, which dropped by over 24 percent in 2009, but have jumped 20 percent in the first quarter of this year. With the federal expansion of trade advocacy, Gov. John Baldacci plans to launch an initiative to take advantage of the boost, and expects that small businesses will continue to diversify into foreign trade.
