Abstract

Matt Hancock and Rob Lally, who bought the Mt. Abram Resort in Greenwood in 2008, are now trying to transform the ski mountain into a net-negative energy user. They won a grant from the National Ski Areas Association for 10 new high-efficiency snowmaking guns and were honored as a role model. Hancock will install a two-acre solar field and plans to buy 50 more guns.
