Abstract

"Business Maine" piece on the approval by state regulators of the acquisition of power utility Maine & Maritimes Corp. by Canadian operator Emera Inc., which is based in Nova Scotia and is the parent company of Bangor Hydro Electric. The deal should save Maine Public Service, the parent company of Maine & Maritimes, between $725,000 and $940,000 a year.
