Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece about Governor LePage's threat to veto the two-year state budget unless it stays very close to his proposal. He will not accept changes to the amount of tax cuts or his desired welfare and pension reforms. Although LePage said he had let lawmakers know his position on the budget, Senate majority leader Jonathan Courtney was surprised by this news.
