Abstract

Trade delegations from Brazil and Japan have recently visited Maine and a delegation from New Brunswick, Canada will soon come to Bangor and Portland, drawn by Maine's technology industry and companies such as Idexx Laboratories. These visits help Maine companies establish contacts and expand into international markets while exposing international trade groups to some of Maine's smaller industries and renewable energy technology. A Maine trade mission will soon visit Chile and Brazil, aiming to lure more foreign investment to the state and to find new export opportunities.
