Abstract
Since purchasing Telford Aviation Services's Bangor airplane maintenance facility 18 months ago, C&L Air Services has doubled its staff and increased sales to an anticipated $30 million this year. Chris Kilgour, founder and CEO of Brisbane-C&L Aerospace, the parent company of the air services operation, has saved costs by using the Bangor location to house both the parts and maintenance aspects of the business under one roof and by expanding the types of work that the company can accomplish in-house. C&L Air Services built upon the existing relationship between Telford and Saab and is now one of the world's specialists in providing maintenance to Saab 340 planes. Kilgour is already working with airport and city officials to plan the company's expansion in Bangor.
