Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on why Maine phone users will likely pay higher E-911 fees and users of other communication devices will likely begin paying E-911 fees due to the Public Utilities Commission's plans to upgrade the service. In addition to phones, the new E-911 system could communicate with tablets, such as the iPad, and even medical devices, such as pacemakers.
