Abstract

Encouraged by a story in RenewablesBiz reporting a $9 million investment in clean technology in 2011, up 13% from 2010, Harry Brown, executive director of the Energy and Environmental Technology Council of Maine (E2Tech), predicts 2012 will be a strong year for clean technology in Maine and across the country. Over 100 clean technology entrepreneurs at a recent E2Tech forum at the University of Southern Maine learned more about available support, including Maine's grant-funded Clean Tech Corridor project, and financing options such as grants, venture capital, and traditional business loans through banks.
