Abstract

During the past year Portland's two coworking spaces, PelotonLabs and Think Tank, have had mixed success. While the larger space, PelotonLabs, is currently at half of its available capacity, the smaller Think Tank is already planning to open a second location that is twice as large as its original one. In Readfield, the education nonprofit Syntiro is trying another coworking model being used more commonly across the country. Syntiro's Central Maine Community Office Space building will house their entire staff of five and has room for up to 15 other workers.
