Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a proposal by the Legislature's Taxation Committee to eliminate checkoffs on the state income tax forms that allow people to make contributions to several charitable organizations and political parties. Few taxpayers use the checkoffs which generated only $164,340 through the 2011 tax forms.
