Abstract
The Top Gun program, a project of the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development, is expanding beyond its origins as a classroom-based program in Portland and Bangor with the launch of Top Gun Prep, an online course that will reach entrepreneurs throughout the state. Various organizations, including Blackstone Accelerates Growth, the Sunrise County Economic Council, and the Northern Maine Development Commission's Caribou Entrepreneur Program, will offer scholarships for the new program. Top Gun Prep is also intended to serve as a funnel for the Top Gun program, preparing participants by teaching them business basics that will enable to get more out of the mentoring component of Top Gun. Both programs aim to support innovation and to encourage entrepreneurs to "think big."
