Abstract

"Focus Down East" piece on David Pottle, an Eastport lobsterman, who has designed a land-based lobster pound that is modeled after Wade Nickerson's SeaKist Lobster pound in Nova Scotia. Pottle expects to open Lighthouse Lobser and Bait this winter. The facility will be able to hold 125,000 pounds of hard-shell lobsters, many of which will be brought in from Canada during the winter months.
