Abstract
“Focus: Real Estate/Construction/Design” piece on Maine’s log home manufacturing which is starting to recover after the recession nearly devastated the industry. The article provides a brief look at the history and construction of log homes (as opposed to log cabins) and discusses the challenges the industry faces today, including creating contemporary designs and addressing the demand for energy efficiency.
