Abstract

Article looks at three little known Maine companies that make high tech products for everyday uses while making millions of dollars in sales. Portland-based Tex Tech Industries Inc. makes tennis ball felt, aircraft seat fire-blocking material, protective police vests and thousands of other products. KICTeam Inc. of Auburn makes disposable cleaning products for everything from ATMs to credit card readers. Wentworth Technology Inc. of Saco makes noise-cancellation headphones for drive-up window workers.
