Abstract

“Focus: Law” piece on Drummond Woodsum’s work with the Appalachian Mountain Club. The Portland law firm’s land use and conservation practice group helped AMC qualify for carbon sequestration credits for a 10,000-acre ecological reserve which were then sold to The Climate Trust of Portland, Oregon, making this only the second such deal to be completed in Maine. Includes some discussion of the carbon offset market.
