Abstract
Down East Maine and New Brunswick Canada have created the “Two-Nation Vacation” campaign, designed to increase visitation to their shared region. New Brunswick Tourism and the Maine Office of Tourism signed a pact in May 2014 agreeing to jointly invest $1 million over four years. The initial focus was to refresh the brand and update website enhancement, as most travelers plan their vacations doing online research. Going forward, the thrust will include developing an integrated marketing and sales campaign through the use of digital marketing, website design and social media, public and media relations, and print material all designed to increase awareness and interest in visiting both countries.
