Abstract
As a result of a seven-month grassroots effort led by 17 stakeholders and guided by branding consultant Roger Brooks, “America’s Crown Jewel” has emerged as the branding slogan for the Moosehead Lakes region. The initiative is part of a long-tern plan to promote the region as a destination for tourists for eight-to-ten months out of the year, enabling the area to grow its population and businesses.
